‘Completely Useless’ ‘Too Afraid Of The Opposition’ Fans Lambast Chelsea Star After Disappointing Cameo Display

With Chelsea in search of a goal against Leeds yesterday, manager Thomas Tuchel replaced Hakim Ziyech with Timo Werner for the last 25 minutes in the hope that the German could break the deadlock.

However, the forward once again flattered to deceive, and barely troubled Leeds’ centre-back partnership of Pascal Struijk and Diego Llorente. After another disappointing display, fans on Twitter did not hold back with their criticism:

It was hoped after Tuchel’s appointment back in January that it would have sparked Werner into life but the 24-year-old has scored just one goal in the 12 matches since the new manager’s arrival.

The striker’s confidence seems to be at rock bottom and there have even been rumours that the Blues may cut their losses on the player just one year after signing him from RB Leipzig. Things could change over the next couple of months but it doesn’t look too promising at the moment.
