Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Robert Sanchez – Filip Jorgensen did not impress in the Carabao Cup so the Spaniard will keep his place for now.
RB – Malo Gusto – Maresca has kept faith with the Frenchman at right-back despite the return to fitness of Reece James.
CB – Wesley Fofana – the 23-year-old is ahead of Tosin Adarabioyo on merit but he didn’t really play that well in the league game against Newcastle. He will be looking to improve against the Red Devils.
CB – Levi Colwill – Undoubtedly the best centre-half at the club and one of the first names on the teamsheet.
LB – Marc Cucurella – one of the few to impress against Newcastle and he is a more natural fit on the left-hand side than James.
