Goalkeeper and Defence
GK – Robert Sanchez – The fact that the Spaniard did not even make the bench against Astana suggests he will start in goal on Sunday.
RB – Malo Gusto – the Blues were much more secure at the back against Tottenham when he replaced Romeo Lavia in the second half.
CB – Benoit Badiashile – with Tosin Adarabioyo and Axel Disasi having started in Astana, and the Frenchman not in the squad, it does look like he will keep his place against Brentford despite being rather poor versus Spurs.
CB – Levi Colwill – the centre-back will have his work cut out keeping the likes of Bryan Mbeumo and Yoane Wissa quiet.
LB – Marc Cucurella – fingers crossed that the Spanish international puts on the right pair of boots on Sunday.
