Newcastle are interested in signing Chelsea forward Timo Werner, according to Bild journalist Christian Falk.
The German international has recently switched agents to Volker Struth, who also manages Magpies defender Fabian Schar, and Falk claims that Werner’s representative is “regularly in contact” with Newcastle:
True ✅ @NUFC ist interested in @TimoWerner. The agency of Werner has already a client with Fabian Schär at Newcastle and is regularly in contact with the Club @BILD_Sport pic.twitter.com/ZIybJKvUOd

There are a couple of things to point out here. Firstly, just because Werner and Schar share an agent, that doesn’t necessarily mean Newcastle have already enquired about signing the Chelsea forward.
Werner even said himself earlier this month that nothing should be interpreted from the fact that he has changed his representative.
Secondly, Werner has just begun to find form. After scoring against Southampton before the international break, he has gone on to hit the back of the net two more times for Germany in his last two matches. Why would the Blues be open to selling just when he looks like he has turned a corner?
