Chelsea target Gregor Kobel is not interested in leaving Borussia Dortmund, according to Bild.

The German tabloid claims the 25-year-old is “high” on the Blues’ “scouting list” as they seek a new number-one goalkeeper.

Edouard Mendy and Kepa Arrizabalaga are not expected to stay at Stamford Bridge beyond the end of the season and Kobel had been identified as a potential replacement.

It was reported last month that a meeting with the Swiss international’s agent had taken place, with Manchester United having also been linked with the keeper at the time.

However, Bild report that Kobel is not particularly interested in a move to England. He would much prefer to remain at Dortmund and continue challenging Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga title.

A new contract (worth €4m a year) is being drawn up and, if he puts pen to paper on a new deal, it would end speculation about a potential switch to Chelsea.
