Chelsea’s Kevin De Bruyne Part Of A £16 Million Deal

Belgium international, Kevin De Bruyne might finally get a chance to play on a regular basis. Unfortunately for him, he will not be doing do while wearing Chelsea’s shirt. After his relationship with the Stamford Bridge club and especially Mourinho, hit a rough patch, it seems that the 22 year old might be heading to a place closer to home.

According to TEAMtalk, De Bruyne is close to signing a deal with Wolfsburg who are willing to pay as much as £16 million for the young midfielder. Despite being mostly used in less important games or not being used at all, he still remains one of the most promising players out there. With the World Cup fast approaching, he will surely want to make up for lost time and prove his qualities to Belgium Manager, Marc Wilmots who will not be counting on those who don’t play on a regular basis.

Wolfsburg would probably be a great fit for the Belgian midfielder whose career peak up until now was registered while performing in the Bundesliga. De Bruyne was one of Werder Bremen’s most influential players while on loan from Chelsea. Unfortunately for him, he did not manage to maintain the same form after returning to Stamford Bridge. He also had several disputes with Mourinho who accused the youngster of being to superficial when it comes to his training and his overall on pitch behavior. This conflict, which according to Chelsea officials does not exist, has been going on for a while now. With Matic returning from Benfica, it is more than likely that De Bruyne will be on his way just as soon as someone decides to pay the £16 million the Blues asked for.
