Chelsea’s Former Captain To Lead City Towards Title

Chelsea might have been too quick to release Frank Lampard who seems in great shape despite being 36. The former English international is having an impressive season despite the long list of people who said his career was almost over. According to the Daily Mail The Blues’ former captain could extend his Premier League stay even with MLS set to start next month. New York City will have to decide either Lampard will finish this season in the UK or start playing in the US. The midfielder will definitely be keener to fight for the title in the Premier League. He has already shown that he is capable of keeping up with the team and that he is in excellent shape.

Manuel Pellegrini is expected to start negotiations for Lampard in order to keep him around for the next couple of months. Lampard will fight against Chelsea for Premier League glory. The Blues have had an almost impeccable season up until now and are favorites to win the race in 2015. Even though the 36 year old dedicated almost his entire career to Chelsea, he is now determined to win the title from the Blues. This is one of the reasons for which Pellegrini wants to keep the midfielder around. He is determined and he is a true professional who could teach City’s players a lot of things related to the game. Hopefully fans will have the chance to see Lampard for at least 6 months from now only not winning any trophies at Chelsea’s expense.
