Chelsea Winger Close To Juventus Move

Chelsea winger Juan Cuadrado is set to sign for Juventus after various reports of a deal being agreed between the two clubs. The Colombian has also been pictured at Turin airport. There have been a lot of rumors regarding Juan Cuadrado’s future at Chelsea over the past few months. The 27-year-old was a huge disappointment for the Blues last season after signing in January for £23.3m. After just 15 appearances (4 starts) the player seemed overwhelmed by Premier League football and looked out of touch with the group on several occasions.

Cuadrado has been linked with a loan move to the Italian champions before, but talks were said to have broken down after Chelsea wanted only to sell the winger – not to loan him out. Now after the Blues completed the signing of Spanish winger Pedro from Barcelona for £21.1m, it is almost certain that Cuadrado is on his way out.

On his arrival in Turin, Cuadrado was greeted by waiting fans and the club posted a video saying: “He has arrived! He quickly found an extraordinary welcome. #welcomecuadrado”

“Juventus are a great team and one of the best in Europe,” Cuadrado said. “We’ve got everything it takes to fight for the Scudetto and we hope to defend our title.”
