Chelsea Weighing Up Selling 27 Year Old Before Transfer Window Shuts

Chelsea are weighing up whether to sell Antonio Rudiger or loan out Fikayo Tomori before the transfer window closes, according to reports in the UK.

Everton, Rennes and a number of other teams are said to be keen on Tomori but it is thought that manager Frank Lampard could yet keep the England international if they can find a buyer for Rudiger.

The 27-year-old appears to be quite a way down the pecking order at the moment, with Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma having started the 3-1 win over Brighton on Monday night.

With new signing Thiago Silva expected to come into the team when he is fully fit, Rudiger’s game time could be severely restricted this season, considering the number of centre-backs in the first-team squad.

There are six currently, including Malang Sarr, but it is thought that the Frenchman will be loaned out despite only joining the Blues on a free transfer last month.
