Chelsea Weighing Up Potential Raid For France U21 International After Impressing Scouts

Chelsea are keeping tabs on Angers forward Mohamed-Ali Cho, according to reports in the English media.

The France Under 21 international, who came through Everton’s academy, has started eight league games so far this season, and he has been impressing Blues scouts with his performances.

Cho scored his first goal of the season against Rennes in a 2-0 win at the end of August, and he got on the scoresheet once again versus Metz yesterday, scoring the first as Angers secured a narrow 3-2 victory.

The forward is still only 17 years of age, but many believe that he has a very bright future in the game. The fact that he is also a British citizen is an important factor. Brexit rules forbid English clubs from signing foreign players below the age of 18 but Cho can be snapped up without any issues.

It is not currently known when Chelsea will make a formal approach for the Frenchman but it is one to keep an eye on.
