Chelsea Warned Of Eto’o Behavior!

The Cameroonian striker joined Chelsea in the closing stages of the transfer window for free from Anzhi Makachkala. He previously lined up alongside Brazil and Real Madrid legend Roberto Carlos for the Russian outfit. The defender has spilled the beans regarding his time with Eto’o at Anzhi and has warned Chelsea that they might have a huge headache coming their way very soon.

Carlos has given an insight into Eto’o’s character as ESPNFC report him as saying, “I’ve known Eto’o since he was 16. He’s a good person and I’ve always liked him, but he always thinks of himself, not the group, which can be really damaging,”

“It’s quite confusing and odd when a footballer, instead of playing, is interested in bringing in players who are his friends. He did everything at Anzhi, except play football.

“Because of the values involved [Eto’o was reportedly earning £300,000 a week at Anzhi], there were a few small problems in the dressing room with the arrival of Eto’o, which were resolved. His signing had to be explained to several players.”

He has gone further and said that Eto’o went as far as interfering with Carlos’ work, who was later appointed as an assistant and then technical director at the club. He continued, “Then there came a point when Samuel wanted to interfere in my work. He wanted to control the club, taking my place and that of the coach, Guus Hiddink. We talked about one thing, and then he went to the players and talked about another. That stressed me out and I warned that I would pack my bags and go.”

Chelsea fans were ecstatic at the signing of the 32-year old who previously shared a hugely successful relationship with Jose Mourinho, with whom he has reunited with at Stamford Bridge now. They might just be in two minds after Carlos’ shocking revelation, unless Mourinho intervenes and rekindles his bond with Eto’o.

Will Mourinho be the antidote to Eto’o’s behavior? Will he be able to tame the trouble child, as described and portrayed by Roberto Carlos?
