Chelsea got back to winning ways on Sunday afternoon at Stamford Bridge with a win over Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United.
Enzo Maresca’s side won 2-1 in a game where Chelsea seemingly had control for the majority of the game despite a few scares from Newcastle.
The Blues took the lead with a goal from Nicolas Jackson after a superb Cole Palmer pass to set up the chance for the Ivorian.
Newcastle then equalised after 32 minutes through Chelsea and Arsenal transfer target Alexander Isak who tapped in a well-worked goal from the Magpies.
Chelsea then scored the winning goal through Cole Palmer who scored his seventh goal in the Premier League this season.
It leaves the Blues in fifth place in the league, one point off Aston Villa who are the last time in the Champions League places currently.
They next face a Manchester United side who have sacked Erik Ten Hag after they lost 2-1 to West Ham United on Sunday.
