Chelsea vs Leicester City – Match Preview, Predicted XI, Match Odds

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be aiming for his first win of the season on Sunday as the Blues face Leicester City at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard has had a difficult start to life as Chelsea manager, losing his opening Premier League bout 4-0 to Manchester United, and losing out on the Super League via penalties to Liverpool – all of this after a poor pre-season.

The Blues haven’t been at their best yet, but it has by no means been a disaster. There are certainly glimpses of what is expected of them, and it is only a matter of time before they mould into the Chelsea we know.

Nevertheless, Leicester will pose as yet another tough challenge. They drew their opening game of the season against Wolves, but Rodgers’ men are dark-horses in the race for the top 6 this season.

With many players playing a full 120 minutes in Istanbul, it might mean Lampard having to shuffle his cards and start some new faces. Chelsea can expect to see Christian Pulisic start after his impressive display against Liverpool, alongside Giroud who also looked sharp against the Reds. Christensen is reportedly injured with a knock, but it is unclear whether he will be available on Sunday. Should he be unavailable, Antonio Rudiger could make his return.
