Chelsea turn their attention away from the Premier League this week as they face a clash in the Europa Conference League.
They come up against relatively unknown Armenian side FC Noah who will travel to Stamford Bridge for their clash on Thursday.
The Blues come off the back of a 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the Premier League where goals from Bruno Fernandes and Moises Caicedo led to the two teams sharing the points.
Enzo Maresca’s side are looking to make it three wins in three in the Conference League as their opening two games came against Belgian side Gent where they won 4-2 and Greek side Panathinaikos where they won 4-1.
Injury status for Chelsea is relatively good for Thursday’s game, however there will be concerns as they face Arsenal at the weekend and star midfielder Cole Palmer is a doubt after a strong challenge by United defender Lisandro Martinez on Sunday. Their Thursday opponents FC Noah are fourth in the Armenian Premier League and have won one and lost one so far in the Europa Conference League. They will relish the challenge of a trip to Stamford Bridge for what will be their biggest game in the league phase of the competition.
Chelsea given close to guaranteed win by the bookmakers
It is no surprise that against European minnows at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea are the favourites by a large margin for Thursday night’s game against FC Noah.
According to Oddschecker, the Blues are backed at odds of 1/14 to win which gives them a 93% chance of victory in the game whereas a draw is backed at 16/1 (6%) and a loss at 40/1 (2%).
We predict a 4-0 Chelsea win in a game where Enzo Maresca is likely to rotate many of his first-choice players with the fact that they have a game against Arsenal in mind at the weekend.
