Chelsea Vs Brentford: Match Preview And Injury News

Chelsea will be looking for a positive result against Brentford in this midweek Premier League clash, after the Blues were unceremoniously dumped out of the Champions League by Real Madrid.

Chelsea are set to be without Armando Broja and Kalidou Koulibaly for their upcoming game against the Bees. Outside of this, the Blues have no new injury concerns.

In their last Premier League game, Chelsea slumped to defeat against Brighton, despite leading early on in the game. Conor Gallagher opened the scoring for the Blues, but Brighton battled back. The Seagulls equalised through Danny Welbeck, then took the lead thanks to a goal from Enciso – the scores ended at 2-1 to the away side.

Brentford, on the other hand, picked up a draw at home against Aston Villa – but they will have been disappointed to have not won the game. Ivan Toney opened the scoring for the Bees, only for Douglas Luiz to find the net in the 87th minute to salvage a point for Unai Emery’s team.

When the two teams last met in the league, they floundered to a 0-0 draw. Each team managed to rattle off five shots on target, but neither could make a breakthrough – let’s hope for a more entertaining game in the reverse fixture.
