Chelsea vs Bournemouth – Match Preview and Predictions

Chelsea take on Bournemouth this weekend as they hope to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League campaign.

The Blues have won all three of their opening games this season against Huddersfield, Arsenal and Newcastle – and in impressive style.

As far as debut seasons in management go, Sarri’s has been very good. But for Eddie Howe at Bournemouth in his sixth season, things have also gone extremely well so far this season, with the Cherries picking up seven points from their first three games.

Chelsea will be without midfielder Cesc Fabregas yet again, who is still yet to return from a knee injury he suffered in pre-season. But the Blues do not face any fresh injury concerns ahead of the clash.

Bournemouth will be without striker Lys Mousset, who scored in midweek but then injured his ankle afterwards. Junior Stanislas is also out with a knee injury, and Marc Pugh will be unavailable with a hamstring problem.

It is likely that N’Golo Kante, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic will feature as a midfield trio once again, and Willian could make a return to the starting line-up ahead of Pedro who started against Newcastle.

Bournemouth could hand league starts to Diego Rico and Jefferson Lerma, but it is unlikely Jermain Defeo will play ahead of inform Callum Wilson.

Here’s how we see Chelsea lining up against the Cherries:

Arrizabalaga

Azpilicueta, Rudiger, Luiz, Alonso

Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic

Willian, Morata, Hazard

Score Prediction: 3-1
