Chelsea Trickster With Cryptic Post On Instagram

Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea has posted a picture on Instagram featuring a cryptic caption that currently has Blues fans befuddled.

The post contains three photos – the first shows Ziyech in a plane, the second shows him leaning out of a car window and the third picture shows the Chelsea star strolling across a zebra crossing.

The post’s caption reads: “Speak only when your words are more beautiful than the silence.”

This is a quote that is often attributed to Hazrat Ali Imam, an important figure in Islam. As Ziyech is a Muslim, the post could simply be one of religious intent.

Ziyech’s post currently has over 750,000 likes on Instagram. It has been liked by several famous footballers, such as Mason Mount, former Brighton defender Marc Cucurella and Manchester United’s Donny Van De Beek.

The Moroccan limited the number of comments that could be left on the post – regardless, it was still commented on by several of his club and international teammates. Among them were West Ham’s Nayef Aguerd, former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham and Tyrell Malacia at Manchester United.

Ziyech has struggled for gametime at Chelsea this season. With January additions such as former Arsenal target Mykhailo Mudryk, Noni Madueke and Enzo Fernandez (who also received interest from Liverpool), he could see his minutes on the pitch dwindling even more than they already have.

This season, across all competitions, the 29-year-old has failed to score a goal for Chelsea, notching up just one assist. Ziyech is somewhwat of a maverick and much was expected of him when he left Ajax to join Chelsea who were being managed by Frank Lampard at the time but it just has not seemed to work. Perhaps the Morrocan will move to Newcastle United or return to Holland or join West Ham.
