Chelsea have made enquiries about the availability of AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders, according to reports.
Relevo.com journalist Matteo Moretto claims the Blues are interested in signing the Netherlands international when the transfer window reopens. Supporters on X agree that Reijnders would be an excellent addition to the squad if Enzo Maresca’s side manage to land his signature:

We are finally looking like a serious club. I hope we actually go for these players and not just raise our hope then change and go and buy kids.

Reijnders is close to signing a new contract
Moretto claims that the 26-year-old is actually poised to extend his current deal with the Rossoneri, but the Serie A side will be forced to consider selling players if they don’t qualify for the Champions League.
After this weekend’s home defeat to Lazio, Reijnders’ side currently find themselves nine points adrift of the top four with 11 games to go.
The Chelsea target has been praised by his national team manager
Speaking after Reijnders put in an excellent display during the Netherlands’ 5-2 win over Bosnia last September, head coach Ronald Koeman said:
“Tijjani is a super complete midfielder with acceleration.”
For Milan, Reijnders has been in great form as well, despite the club’s struggles. The Dutchman has scored 12 goals and provided 3 assists in 40 appearances so far this season. He would definitely provide a different option for Maresca in midfield.
