Man United and Chelsea Set To Battle Against Juventus For France International

Chelsea and Man United are reportedly set to battle to sign PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani, who was on loan at Juventus last year.

The Blues have made a lot of attacking additions so far this summer. They have signed the likes of Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, and Jamie Gittens to Enzo Maresca’s side, but reports indicate that they want even more.

Furthermore, Nicolas Jackson has been linked with a move away from the club, with rivals Manchester United reportedly keen on signing the striker this summer.

According to The Guardian, Chelsea and Man United are battling against Juventus to secure the signature of striker Randal Kolo Muani this summer. Both clubs were linked with Kolo Muani in January, but instead he went on loan to Juventus.

Kolo Muani had a successful spell in Italy. He made 22 appearances for Juventus, scoring 10 goals, and providing three assists. He would be the latest pacey attacker to join Chelsea if the Blues were to sign him, as he likes to get in behind opposing defences.

TransferMarkt values the 26-year-old at around £26m, but it is understood that PSG would like more for him, and Juventus have already seen an initial bid rejected for the attacker. If Man United or Chelsea came in for Kolo Muani, they could swoop ahead of Juventus.

What other forwards could Chelsea sign this summer?

The Blues have been linked to several attackers despite their current additions of Delap, Pedro and Gittens. One such name is RB Leipzig attacker Xavi Simons, who has also been linked to Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that talks are in an advanced stage, and the Blues are expected to land the Dutch attacker, who will give Maresca yet another young attacker to boost his squad depth.

If Chelsea were to add Kolo Muani too, then they would really have a lot of depth up front and the ability for Maresca to create serious competition for places in his starting XI.
