Chelsea have made enquiries about Sporting Lisbon pair Ousmane Diomande and Viktor Gyokeres, according to the Evening Standard.
However, Sporting have told the Blues that they will only sell the two players during the January transfer window if they trigger their release clauses. With Diomande’s buyout fee standing at €80m (£69m) and Gyokeres’s at €100m (£87m), it would be very costly so sign both of them next month and fans on X are not enthusiastic about the prospect:

Both Diomande and Gyokeres could have been signed for much lower amounts
It should be noted that Sporting paid just €12.5m to bring in Diomande from FC Midtjylland at the start of this year, while they spent only slightly more (€20m) to sign Gyokeres from Coventry City in the summer.
Chelsea may have to shell out a staggering €147.5m (£128m) more than they would have done if they had tried to secure their signatures prior to their moves to Portugal.
Chelsea will face competition for the pair
Manchester City, Arsenal and Newcastle have all been credited with an interest in Diomande, so Sporting will feel justified in maintaining their stance on the Ivorian defender’s valuation.
Gyokeres has also been linked with the Gunners over the past week, meaning Chelsea will not be able to negotiate down the striker’s price either.
