‘I’d Sell Him For Less Ngl’ ‘Should Be At Least £70M’ Fans React As Romano Reveals Chelsea Player’s Price Tag

Chelsea would consider selling Nicolas Jackson for a fee close to £50m, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 24-year-old’s disciplinary problems reared their ugly head again against Flamengo last week, prompting speculation that he could be offloaded this summer. Asked about Jackson at the weekend, Romano said:

“What I can say at the moment as of June 21st, Chelsea is asking a high price for Jackson because I am told he has interest from the Premier League, we are talking above €55m-€60m (£47m-£51m).”

Supporters on X are split on whether the Blues should be looking to sell Jackson for £50m:

Chelsea are looking at other strikers

Despite recruiting Liam Delap from Ipswich Town for £30m, the club have continued to enquire about other No.9s, including Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani, Eintracht Frankfurt’s Hugo Ekitike and Stuttgart’s Nick Woltemade.

If head coach Enzo Maresca was already happy with his forward options, the club would not be pursuing these players, which suggests that Jackson’s future is in doubt.

When will Jackson return to play?

The striker is currently only ruled out for the final group match of the Club World Cup against ES Tunis following his red card versus Flamengo, although FIFA can increase the length after review.

At the moment, Jackson will be available for the knockout phase as long as Maresca’s men make it through.

In other news, multiple sources have confirmed that Chelsea have made an enqury about signing a player from Flamengo
