Chelsea have joined Liverpool and Manchester City in pursuing Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise, according to reports in the German media.
Sport Bild claim that the Blues are prepared to splash out at least €100m (£87m) on the France international next summer. Supporters on X are split on whether a move for Olise is a good idea. Some believe he would be a great addition to the squad, while others question whether he would consider leaving Bayern:
Olise would be a huge statement signing for Chelsea if they go that high.

Chelsea are not exactly short of wingers
Olise’s best position is the right wing, cutting in onto his stronger left foot. It is not an area where the Blues need reinforcements, with the likes of Estevao and Pedro Neto both available to head coach Enzo Maresca.
Of course, the prospect of signing too many players for one position hasn’t stopped the club’s recruitment team in the past. Olise has been targeted on two previous occasions by the London club, so it appears they are lining up a third attempt.
Bayern want to keep Olise
Despite only moving to Germany in the summer of 2024, the Bundesliga champions are keen on tying him down to a new contract.
Olise currently earns €12m a year (or £200,000 a week), which can reach €16m a year (or £268,000 a week) including bonuses. Bayern are said to be prepared to offer improved terms to ward off interest from the Premier League.
Considering that Chelsea don’t generally pay high salaries, it could well scupper their plans to secure the winger‘s signature next year.
