Chelsea could reignite a move for Mathys Tel if he doesn’t sign for Tottenham on a permanent basis, according to reports.
GiveMeSport claim that Spurs may yet decide against triggering their option to buy the Frenchman for €55m (£47m) this summer when his loan deal expires. Tel has not performed well since making the switch to North London and the majority of supporters on X would be against bringing him to Stamford Bridge:
Please no.

Tel’s stats since joining Tottenham don’t make for good reading
Spurs were delighted to beat the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United to the Bayern Munich winger‘s signature but his displays have not met expectations.
Over the past few months, Tel has made 9 appearances, scoring just 2 goals and providing 0 assists. It is not exactly an impressive record, although it must be pointed out that he is still only 19 years of age.
Chelsea have other targets lined up
While Tel remains on the Blues’ radar, GiveMeSport have confirmed that the club are also interested in Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams.
Gittens appears to be the more likely target at the moment. Reports in Germany suggest that Dortmund are willing to let the 20-year-old go, with the player keen on moving back to England.
