‘We Must Bring This Gem Home’ ‘Let’s Get Him’ Fans React As Chelsea Ponder Reviving Transfer After Failed £61M Bid

Chelsea are “expected to make another attempt” to sign Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz during the January transfer window, according to reports in Italy.

It is believed that the Blues had a €70m (£61m) proposal knocked back this summer but Calciomercato.it claim that Enzo Maresca’s side will “try again” in the New Year. Fans on X are excited about the prospect of Yildiz making the swith to Stamford Bridge:

Where would Yildiz play?

The 20-year-old has been deployed as a No.10 by Juve boss Igor Tudor and his numbers have been seriously impressive.

Yildiz has scored 2 goals and provided 4 assists in only 4 appearances this season.

Of course, if he were to make the switch to Chelsea, he would be competing directly with Cole Palmer for starts.

Chelsea may be eyeing him for a different position

Yildiz is also comfortable playing off either flank due to the fact that he is two-footed. If Jamie Gittens continues to struggle, there could be an opening for the Turkish international to compete with Alejandro Garnacho for starts on the left wing.

It should be pointed out, though, that there is a considerable length of time between now and January so a lot of things could change over the next few months.
