Chelsea have held “talks” about signing Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi, according to reports in Germany.
Bild reporter Christian Falk claims that a move is more likely to happen in the summer than this month, with Dortmund holding out for a “high fee.” However, fans on X are not exactly jumping for joy about the prospect of Adeyemi making the switch to Stamford Bridge:

Adeyemi’s season in numbers
The German international has scored 5 goals and provided 5 assists in 11 appearances this campaign which is a pretty decent return.
However, Adeyemi has been blighted by injury and fitness issues. He spent the best part of two months on the sidelines with a muscular problem and he missed the last league game against Holstein Kiel due to illness.
Chelsea don’t need another left-footed winger
Although Adeyemi can play right across the front three, his best position is on the right flank, where he can cut in onto his stronger left foot.
Head coach Enzo Maresca already has the likes of Noni Madueke and Pedro Neto at his disposal for that role.
If the club are to sign a winger this month, you would think that they would pursue a replacement for Mykhailo Mudryk. Mathys Tel at Bayern Munich would undoubtedly be a better purchase if his club are prepared to let him go.
