Chelsea winger Jadon Sancho has been subject to transfer interest from Premier League rivals.
Sancho joined Chelsea on loan from Manchester United after a spell on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season which proved a success.
The winger has begun life at Stamford Bridge well, making five Premier League appearances and recording three assists for the Blues.
Enzo Maresca may decide that they want to make his move to Chelsea permanent from United with the £25m obligation to buy, but there could be a new obstacle should Chelsea want to keep the resurgent Sancho.
According to TeamTalk, Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing Sancho and Ange Postecoglou feels as though he can get the most out of the 24-year-old.
They could begin negotiations with Manchester United and try to secure Sancho to join in the summer of 2025 before next season after his loan deal with Chelsea expires.
There has been no indication yet as to whether the Blues will decide to keep hold of the winger and much of their decision will likely be down to his form for the rest of the season. However, Enzo Maresca won’t want to lose Sancho especially to a Premier League rival also gunning for a Champions League place.
Chelsea winger Sancho back to ‘old ways’ insists former Premier League midfielder
Despite Sancho’s decent start to life at Stamford Bridge, he isn’t revered by all as former Premier League midfielder Jamie O’Hara believes that the winger has returned to his old ways.
He told Grosvenor Sport: “Jadon Sancho’s been given an opportunity at Chelsea to prove people wrong, but it hasn’t happened yet. Manchester United spent a lot of money on him, and it didn’t work out, so he’s gone to Chelsea and showed signs of brilliance and confidence at the start, but he seems to have fallen back into his old ways since then.
“I think the problem with Sancho at Chelsea is that there are better players than him in that squad – Pedro Neto and Noni Madueke are more influential than him.”
