Manchester United are anticipating an “approach” from Chelsea for Jadon Sancho, according to The Athletic.
The England international could leave Old Trafford before the transfer window closes next week, and the Blues have been tipped as a potential destination. Unsurprisingly, the majority of supporters on X are against their club signing Sancho ahead of deadline day:
Why???

That would be a pointless signing. All we need is a top striker and potentially a cb if we get some outgoings

We literally just signed two similar players. United we don’t want your waste.

We need to relax now with our signings 💯🤔

That one is a very big NO.

This will be the last straw for me

Chelsea don’t need Sancho
If you include Angelo Gabriel, head coach Enzo Maresca has seven players on the club’s books who can play out wide, and that will soon become eight when Joao Felix arrives from Atletico Madrid.
Some have suggested that Sancho could be a replacement for Sterling but there wasn’t even room for the 29-year-old on the bench against Manchester City, so there isn’t really any space.
Selling players is the club’s priority
The Blues need to offload a ton of deadwood before the deadline on August 30th. Romelu Lukaku, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Trevoh Chalobah, David Datro Fofana, Armando Broja, Cesare Casadei, Djordje Petrovic, and Alex Matos all need to be sold, while the club are also open to offers for Carney Chukwuemeka.
Some progress is being made, with Diego Moreira having joined Strasbourg, while the likes of Conor Gallagher and Bashir Humphreys should follow him out of the door soon.
