Chelsea have “prepared an improved proposal” for Palmeiras winger Estevao Willian, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The Blues have reportedly had a €32m (£27.5m) offer (with another €25m/£21.5m in add-ons) rejected but they are willing to make another bid for the Brazilian starlet. There has been a mixed reaction to the news among supporters on X, with some excited by the prospect of Estevao moving to Stamford Bridge, while others are questioning the outlay:
Absolutely wonderful signing.

Yeah, this is good. But, we need some experienced players now to compete for next season. Osimhen and a CB must.

Other clubs are interested in Estevao
Arsenal, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have all been mentioned as potential suitors for the player.
However, Romano claims that Chelsea “feel in control of the situation”, having already agreed personal terms with Estevao’s representatives.
What do Chelsea fans need to know about the player?
The 17-year-old came to prominence with his performances at the Under 17 World Cup last year, where he scored 3 goals and provided 3 assists in 5 appearances for Brazil.
Since then, Estevao has made his first-team debut for Palmeiras, having come on as a substitute in the 1-1 draw against Cruzeiro back in early December. He has gone on to make 15 further appearances in the league, the Brazilian Cup and the Copa Libertadores.
The forward generally likes to play off the right wing, cutting in onto his stronger left foot. It should be noted that his move to Chelsea can only be made official when he turns 18 next year.
