The Blockbuster £130m Chelsea And Real Madrid Swap Deal That Would Break Arsenal And Liverpool Hearts

Chelsea and Real Madrid could see a swap deal emerging this summer based on reports and transfer rumours.

The Blues have arguably had one of the best transfer windows in the Premier League this summer, as they have addressed several needs. They signed Liam Delap and Joao Pedro up front, and they also added Jamie Gittens on the wing to boost their attack.

Enzo Maresca’s side has plenty of transfer budget to spend this summer, and it is understood that they still want to sign another winger this summer, to replace Noni Madueke, who left to join Premier League rivals Arsenal.

According to a report by Football Transfers, Real Madrid are eyeing up a move to sign Chelsea star Enzo Fernandez, and he is amongst several midfielders that the Spanish side have been linked with in recent weeks.

The La Liga giants were previously linked to Fernandez in January, but the reports now are saying that Chelsea could sell him for as much as £130m. But it begs the question, could Real Madrid’s interest in Fernandez enable Chelsea to sign one of their top summer targets too?

Chelsea should offer Fernandez for Rodrygo

The Blues would likely need to replace Fernandez if he was to leave Stamford Bridge for Madrid, however, one of their top targets this summer has been winger Rodrygo, who has also been linked to Arsenal and Liverpool.

If Madrid are serious about their interest in Fernandez, Chelsea could suggest that they are only willing to sell the midfielder, if Rodrygo is in a part of the deal. The winger is expected to command a transfer fee of below £100m, so Chelsea could even demand some money on top of Rodrygo in exchange for Fernandez.

This would help to replace Madueke, and give Chelsea one of the best wide players in the world. Furthermore, it would prevent rivals Arsenal and Liverpool from signing him, and also send out a real message that Enzo Maresca’s side are intent on winning a Premier League title next season.
