The EIGHT Players Chelsea Could Sell For A Total £280M This Summer

Mason Mount clapping Chelsea fans

Chelsea are set for a clearout this summer as they look to raise funds for another raft of new signings.

Financial Fair Play means the Blues cannot afford to shell out the sums they have in the last two transfer windows so players will need to leave the London club.

Today, we will be looking at eight players who could raise around £280m in transfer fees. There are certainly more who could leave but we have listed these eight as the most saleable assets.

Press the next page as we go through the Chelsea stars who could be offloaded in the coming days and weeks.

Hakim Ziyech – £15m

Things just haven’t worked out for the Moroccan international since he arrived at Stamford Bridge almost three years ago.

Manager Frank Lampard was a big fan of Ziyech but the winger never really got the chances under either Thomas Tuchel or Graham Potter.

After spending £33m to bring him in from Ajax, it does look as if the Blues will be taking a big hit to sell him this summer.

Christian Pulisic – £20m

In a very similar vein to Ziyech, the American hasn’t really been able to show his best form during his four-year stint with the London club.

There was a period just after lockdown in 2020 where Pulisic went through a purple patch but injuries have halted any momentum he had.

With just a year left on his contract, a sale to Italy for a knockdown price looks likely.

Trevoh Chalobah – £25m

Chelsea are expected to offload some homegrown players this summer to help with FFP and the centre-back could be one of those sacrificed.

It would be a shame if Chalobah does leave, as Mauricio Pochettino could well be the manager to get the best out of him.

It appears Inter Milan have made him a top summer target and the Blues could be tempted into selling up.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek – £25m

Like Pulisic, the midfielder has a year left on his contract so a departure before the end of the summer transfer window is expected.

Loftus-Cheek was poised to complete a move to AC Milan but the sacking of director Paolo Maldini means that the transfer has been put in jeopardy.

Another team could, though, look to match Chelsea’s £25m asking price.

Mateo Kovacic – £35m

There have been no discussions with the Croatian international over a new contract and, with a year left on his current deal, Chelsea have opted to sell him.

From the looks of things, Kovacic could well be off to Manchester City, with the Premier League champions reportedly close to agreeing personal terms with the player already.

The 29 year old midfield general has 4 Champions Leagues to his name and 18 major trophies in his cabinet and with his stunning technical ability could we see Guardiola deploy Mateo Kovacic further forward.

It could be possible to turn the Croatian into Ilkay Gundogan 2.0? You can see Pep doing this as the midfielder seems to have much more attacking creativity in his locker and in the City side he will get the opportunity to showcase it.

Conor Gallagher – £40m

The midfielder is in the same boat as Chalobah as a home grown player who can fetch a premium on the transfer market due to the benefits he offers as being a homegrown professional.

Pochettino is likely to be keen on working with Gallagher but he is one of the players who could raise the most cash in the first-team squad.

Gallagher has plenty of admirers, including West Ham, Newcastle, Crystal Palace and Everton, and his destination is likely to be determined by who is willing to stump up the money.

Kai Havertz – £50m

Some supporters may be surprised that the German international has been made available for transfer but the club are not expecting him to sign a contract extension.

With two years left on Havertz’s current deal, and Real Madrid said to be very interested in snapping him up, there is a very real possibility that he will be leaving for Spain in the coming weeks.

Mason Mount – £70m

There have been plenty of accusations and counter-accusations about how things have got to this point where the midfielder has refused to sign a new contract.

It seems as if Mount is now determined to leave Stamford Bridge, with Manchester United his preferred destination. The Blues are, though, standing firm on their valuation so this could turn into a transfer saga.
