Chelsea Make Fresh Enquiry For 14 Goal Striker Who Could Be Sold For £68.5M This Summer

Chelsea have made a new enquiry for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, according to Tuttosport (via TMW).

The Serbian international is expected to be sold if the right offer is received this summer, with Juve having to balance the books after missing out on Champions League qualification.

Vlahovic scored 14 goals last season but his overall performances have been less than convincing and it is believed that the Bianconeri are open to offloading him for around €80m (£68.5m) after just eighteen months in Turin.

The 23-year-old joined Juventus from Fiorentina for a similar amount in January last year, when they beat Arsenal to his signature, but there is now a possibility that he will end up in the Premier League if Chelsea make their move.

Chelsea are about to sign another forward

With the Blues expected to confirm the signing of Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal, it has been claimed that the London club won’t make a move for another number nine this summer.

However, the Senegalese international is rather inexperienced, and it would put a lot of pressure on the player to lead the line next campaign.

There is a feeling that, if the funds are available, Chelsea will buy another striker, with Vlahovic and, potentially, Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez being looked at by Mauricio Pochettino’s team.

Have other clubs made Vlahovic a transfer target?

Manchester United have been credited with an interest in the Serbian in the past, but they are expected to target Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani or Atalanta’s Rasmus Hojlund instead.

Newcastle have been mentioned as a potential suitor for Vlahovic in the French press in recent days but those links were quickly shut down by respected journalist Fabrizio Romano.

If the Blues do pursue Vlahovic, and they are prepared to match his asking price, they will more than likely get their man.
