Chelsea sold Christian Pulisic to AC Milan for €20m (£17m) during the 2023 summer transfer window.
At the time, the American international had struggled for form and fitness, and both parties felt it was time to part ways.
However, since then, Pulisic’s career has undergone a renaissance in Italy, having been one of Milan’s best performers over the past two seasons.
The winger ended the 2023/24 campaign with 15 goals in 50 appearances, and he is on course to better that total this season, having already racked up 7 goals in his first 15 matches.
Premier League clubs are tracking Pulisic
A return to England could well be on the cards either in January or at the end of the season, with the likes of Liverpool, Manchester United, West Ham and even Arsenal having been credited with an interest in the player over recent days.
Pulisic scored against the Gunners in the 2020 FA Cup final, although the Blues would go on to lose the match 2-1 as the American’s early goal was cancelled out by a brace from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The former Chelsea player’s price has risen sharply
Italian website Calciomercato.com report that Milan won’t allow Pulisic to leave on the cheap if a team do make an approach. It is believed that the Rossoneri will demand “over €60m (£50m)”, which is (somewhat ironically) close to the amount that Chelsea paid Borussia Dortmund for the player in 2019.
One of the reasons why the forward may be tempted to come back to the Premier League is due to his wages. He currently earns just £64,000 a week with his current club and potential suitors will be able to offer him a lot more than that. We shall see if the ex-Chelsea star does return to this country in the New Year.
