Chelsea had several players training away from the first team this summer as part of the so-called ‘bomb squad’.

Some, such as Ben Chilwell, were able to complete moves away from Stamford Bridge before the transfer window closed.

However, others were not so lucky. 3 players have been left in limbo and it remains to be seen what the future holds for them:

1) Axel Disasi

It is believed that the defender wanted to return to his former club, Monaco, but the Blues have run out of international loan spots.

Nicolas Jackson sealed his switch to Bayern Munich, essentially blocking Disasi’s chances of moving abroad on a temporary basis.

West Ham emerged as a potential destination on Deadline Day, but the Hammers ultimately hijacked Crystal Palace’s move for Igor Julio instead.
