Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku is “eager to leave” Stamford Bridge, with Arsenal one of his potential destinations, according to reports.
Writing for Caught Offside, journalist Jacque Talbot claims that the France international’s representatives are exploring possible clubs he could join, with the Gunners deemed a genuine option. There was a mixed reaction to the story on X with some fans believing that the club should not consider letting Nkunku join a rival, while others feel they should try and get as much money as they can for the player:

Why is Nkunku pressing to leave Chelsea?
The 27-year-old has not been given a key role by head coach Enzo Maresca since the Italian’s arrival in the dugout last summer.
Nkunku has started just three league matches, with the majority of his game time coming in the Conference League and the domestic cups.
Maresca has often lamented the fact that he can’t play Nkunku in his best position which is occupied by Cole Palmer, so he has more often than not been used as a No.9.
Romano has played down any imminent departure
While there are now several reports linking Nkunku with a transfer away from the club, trusted journalist Fabrizio Romano says a lot will depend on the player
If Nkunku approaches Chelsea and formally requests to leave, Romano claims that “the situation could change” but, for now, he remains part of Maresca’s plans.
