Chelsea are among three Premier League sides interested in signing Bournemouth winger Antoine Semenyo, according to reports in the English media.
The 25-year-old has turned heads with his performances for the Cherries this season and The Sun claim that the Blues, Liverpool and Tottenham are all “eyeing” a move for the player ahead of the summer transfer window. However, the English tabloid say that Semenyo’s club won’t let him leave without a fight and they will demand that any interested team matches their £75m valuation. That is not a figure many fans on X would be prepared to pay:

I like the player. The asking price is nothing but a joke. No one pays that amount…

75 million that’s absurd 😂

Why is Semenyo so expensive?
Bournemouth are not in a position where they need to sell players, and if they qualify for Europe their financial situation will improve further still.
The fact that Semenyo signed a new five-year contract last July also means that they are under no pressure to offload the forward anytime soon.
Chelsea are considering making bids for several wingers
Reinforcing the left flank is said to be one of the top priorities for the Blues heading into the summer. In addition to Semenyo, sporting directors Paul Winstanley and Lawrence Stewart have also identified Borussia Dortmund’s Jamie Gittens and Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams as potential targets.
With Semenyo’s asking price being so high, it may tempt the club into exploring moves for one of their alternatives.
