1) Barrenetxea has come through Sociedad’s ranks
The forward has been with the club since joining them from Antiguoko in 2013.
Barrenetxea has moved up through the youth ranks until he made his debut for the first team against Alaves in December 2018.
He played the final 5 minutes of a 1-0 defeat. Later that season, he scored his first goal, and it couldn’t have come against a more illustrious opponent.
Barrenetxea found the back of the net against Real Madrid. He scored the third in a 3-1 win, in what was undoubtedly the first big moment of his career.
