“He Has The Potential…” Agent Claims Chelsea Could Have Another Drogba If They Win Race For 19 Year Old

Adama Bojang “has the potential” to reach the levels of Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, according to his agent.

Sacha Empacher says the Gambian Under 20 international is one of the biggest talents to come out of Africa over the last ten years:

“Adama is the best African player I’ve seen in the last decade. He has the potential to become one of Africa’s great forwards. Along with Drogba, Eto’o, Salah, and Osimhen.”

Bojang has been widely praised for his performances at international level, having helped guide Gambia to the U20 African Cup of Nations final earlier this year, as well as reaching the last 16 of the U20 World Cup this summer.

It is believed that the 19-year-old’s club side Steve Biko FC will let him leave for around €3m (£2.6m), which has led to a scramble for his signature.

Chelsea are one of SEVEN Premier League teams pursuing Bojang

The Blues are known to be keeping closes tabs on the forward, but Manchester United, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Liverpool, Tottenham and Wolves are also said to be keen on securing the teenager’s services.

There is believed to be interest from teams in Germany as well, with RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt weighing up offers for Bojang.

A UK Work Permit should not be an issue

There were originally concerns that Bojang may not be able to get a visa to play in England, but the UK government have recently updated their Governing Body Endorsement criteria.

It means that every club in the Premier League and the Championship has four slots in their squad for players who do not meet the points required for a work permit. Bojang should, therefore, be allowed to join Chelsea if the Blues win the race for the striker. If you want to know more about the player, read our profile here.
