Chelsea Told They Will Have To Pay 96M To Seal Bold Double Transfer

Chelsea will need around €115m (£96m) if they want to sign Inter Milan pair Milan Skriniar and Denzel Dumfries, according to reports in the Italian media.

The Blues have made recruiting Dumfries a top transfer priority, while Skriniar’s name has come back under consideration after the London club’s failure to snap up Jules Kounde.

Inter do need to sell players in order to balance the books, and they are believed to be open to offloading Dumfries for around €45m (£37.6m). However, a deal for Skriniar is expected to be costlier.

The Nerazzurri have recently lost out to Juventus for Gleison Bremer, who was being lined up as Skriniar’s replacement. It means the Serie A club are now a lot more reluctant to sell the Slovakian international this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain have been trying to recruit the defender for a number of weeks but Inter’s €70m (£58.5m) asking price is proving a major stumbling block. If Chelsea choose to step in and pay the fee, though, they could well secure his signature, in addition to Dumfries.
