Chelsea Told They Must Pay 50.5M After Making Enquiry For France International Fullback

Chelsea have made an enquiry for AC Milan left-back Theo Hernandez, according to reports in the Italian media.

With the news that Ben Chilwell will likely be out for the rest of the season with an ACL injury, the Blues have moved quickly in their attempts to find a suitable replacement.

While they are interested in Hernandez, it appears that Milan are very reluctant to let him leave. They have already stated that the France international is not for sale, although they may be tempted if an offer comes in which is too good to turn down.

That figure is reportedly €60m (£50.5m), and it remains to be seen whether Chelsea would be prepared to make such a bid for the 24-year-old.

There are much cheaper options out on the market and the London club are said to be considering the likes of Everton’s Lucas Digne, Barcelona’s Sergino Dest and Ajax’s Nicolas Tagliafico as potential alternatives. We shall see who they decide to go after.
