According to ESPNFC, Luis’s agent admitted to have been contacted by Chelsea officials regarding a possible move to London. It is going to be a tough deal to make though considering Simeone’s post Champions League statements. Atletico’s manager is rumored to have demanded for all of his players except Costa, to remain with the club, otherwise he will leave. Even though this is not an official statement, it could easily be true.

One other important factor which might come between Chelsea and Luis is Atletico’s high financial demands. The purpose of such high expectations is to make other clubs stand down. It seems that Simeone is backed up by the club’s management who are willing to avoid selling their key players in order to try repeating this year’s performance.
