Chelsea To Sign Another Of Europe’s Best Youngsters- PSG’s Adrien Rabiot

Since Jose Mourinho took over again (and even before he took over again), Chelsea have been permanently growing, changing and adapting. The Portuguese manager has been carrying on the initiative which started a year back. This particular project is based on the youngest and the most promising players in the world. The plan is to put together a team that will resemble Barcelona’s way to build their team. Almost all of their players have been raised by the club and have been playing together for years. They grew up together which is one of the most important aspects when it comes to making it to the top. Skill is nothing without a strong group that cannot be built only on game relationships.

The Blues already have a group of youngsters and a strong mature base to take things to the next level. Players like Schurrle, Hazard and Oscar fit perfectly in formations that include Luiz, Cech, Lampard and Cole who have a lot of experience to share with their younger teammates.

According to Metro, Chelsea’s latest target is of French origins and plays for PSG. The 18 year old is definitely one of the most promising midfielders currently evolving in European football. Adrien Rabiot who has been with the French side since 2012 but spent a year on loan with Toulouse and failed to become a team regular this season. Even so Mourinho looks desperate to bring in the Frenchman who looks like a great solution to replace Lampard who is not getting any younger and could well leave at the end of this season or the season after that at the latest.

Chelsea will have to face tough competition for Rabiot who has been monitored by Liverpool, Arsenal and Tottenham too. The Gunners could be the most dangerous considering Wenger’s reputation of giving young players regular chances to perform at the highest level possible.

The 18 year old is valued at 5 million pounds which is a more than acceptable price. If he decides to join the Blues, the Frenchman will have a lot to learn. Even though PSG is becoming stronger all the time, they still base their success around mature expensive players which leaves little room for footballers like Rabiot who has not yet reached the superstar status.
