Chelsea To Miss Out On Former Manchester United Castaway

Paul Pogba is definitely one of Europe’s most promising young players. The 20 year old French international exploded in 2013 which has made teams like Chelsea, Real Madrid and Arsenal await eagerly for a chance to snatch Juventus’ midfielder. With statements coming from the Italian side during the summer, which pointed towards possible moves for Pogba, Mourinho placed the former Manchester United’s player on his transfer wish-list. Juve claimed at the beginning of this season that they will not be able to keep a player of such value for a long time considering they are not yet in the same league, financially speaking, as the Premier League giants, Bayern, PSG, Barca or Real.

Unfortunately for Chelsea who were really hoping to bring in a possible replacement for Lampard who is in his last contract year with the Blues, Juventus somehow managed to get the necessary funds to keep Pogba around. According to Metro, Antonio Conte was able to create a strong group and convince players his project will pay off. With that in mind, the other star midfielder who helped Juventus win two domestic titles in a row, just signed a new deal with the Italians. Arturo Vidal will stay in Torino until 2017.

Chelsea will have to move fast if they want to grab Manchester’s former player. He is currently under contract until 2016 and has no public release-clause. Even with such a contract feature, Abramovich will probably be willing to pay Juventus big money.

A possible issue with Pogba’s transfer to England is the player’s desire to return to a country where he could not shine as bright as he does in Serie A. Sir Alex Ferguson let the Frenchman leave without trying to stop him. It is likely that his return to the Premier League would not be as beneficial for the 20 year old as some might think.
