Southampton will more than likely lose Shaw during the transfer period. He is constantly being linked to big Premier League teams which seem willing to pay big money for the left back.  Chelsea would become much stronger with Shaw who is seen as the perfect replacement for Cole who might not continue with the Blues. Even if Azpilicueta has done a great job at defending the left side of the pitch, he is still being played out of position. Fans can only imagine how great Chelsea will look like next season with Shaw, Cahill, Luiz and Azpilicueta fending off attacks regardless of the offensive power of their adversaries.

According to Metro, the young defender looks keen on making the next step on the evolutionary ladder. Depite being only 18, Shaw already made 1 appearance for England’s national team. That says a lot about his potential and his excellent form. Since starting his professional career back in 2012, the English international has made 58 appearances for Southampton. He is already pretty experienced when it comes to Premier League football.

Shaw will fit perfectly with Mourinho’s plan who wants to dominate European football in a few years. The youngster who could join Chelsea this summer, is among the most sought after players. Manchester also look keen on securing his signature especially with a reconstruction period on the way for them.
