Chelsea To Face Arsenal With Attacking Options

Good news came from Chelsea’s medical staff who stated that all three strikers who were uncertain due to injury, will be recovered before Sunday’s game against Arsenal. Even though Mourinho had Dominic Solanke ready to jump in and take on the role of the striker, it is still more comforting to know Costa, Remy or Drogba will be available. The three will not be 100% recovered but they could still help the team to some extent. According to the Daily Star Costa is really hoping he can play against Arsenal considering the fact that a win against the Gunners combined with a positive result against Leicester will bring the title to Stamford Bridge. Hopefully Costa will not sacrifice his fitness for next season just as he did while playing for Atletico. It would be best to see him in top form in August than to see him struggling in the few games left to play.

Remy is probably the most likely to start against Arsenal as Mourinho already said there was a 50% chance to see him against Man United. Not seeing the Frenchman on the bench this past Sunday might mean that he is getting ready for the Gunners. Chelsea’s boss already explained his plan of using Costa for the last 4 matches of the season which means he is left with Drogba and Remy for the other two. As a last resort, Mourinho could end up using Hazard as a striker even though that might be a bit of a gamble given the size of Arsenal’s defense.
