Chelsea Target Inter Milan Striker

As the Costa deal seems still a few days away, Chelsea seem keen on bringing in more reinforcements to increase their scoring rate. Inter’s Emanuel Icardi looks next in line to be offered a deal. According to talkSPORT, the 21 year old striker has all the right qualities to make it at Stamford Bridge. He was one of the Italian side’s most impressive youngsters managing to score some important goals in his first season playing under the pressure of a giant club such as Inter. Despite being a much harder signing than Costa, Icardi could be offered the chance to leave given the proper offer from Chelsea. The only way Mourinho will convince Inter to let their player leave is to offer money and also Lukaku who is set to leave London.

As hard to understand as it may be, Lukaku has no place in Mourinho’s starting line-up. Despite being one of the most efficient strikers in the Premier League, he is still no wanted by Chelsea. Icardi is currently valued at £9 million while Lukaku is worth twice that much. It would be a bit for the Blues to add money to what already looks like a pretty unevenly balanced deal. Even if Mourinho is keen on getting rid of the Belgian international, it is hard to believe he will not at least try to make a profit of off the young striker. Lukaku is still likely to easily find a team to pay the amount of money needed for him to leave at a profit despite his below average performances so far for Belgium at the World Cup where he is yet to score a goal and has had no real attempts on goal to speak of.
