Chelsea Summer Signing Poised To Make Switch To Portugal Just A Month After Arriving

Chelsea defender Malang Sarr is set to join Porto on loan for the rest of the season, according to reports in the Portuguese media.

The 21-year-old was signed on a free transfer at the end of August but it was always thought that he would be sent out on a temporary basis to another club in order to gain more first-team experience.

Porto will sell Alex Telles to Manchester United, and with Sarr able to play at both centre-back and left-back, the Primeira Liga champions have decided that the Frenchman could be a useful addition to the team as he can play in multiple positions.

With the Blues currently having SIX centre-backs in the first team squad, at least two were expected to leave before the transfer deadline. Antonio Rudiger is the other defender likely to leave with AC Milan leading Paris Saint-Germain and Tottenham in the race to sign the German on loan.
