The team is not well adjusted to the changes “The Special One” is currently trying to implement and the overall atmosphere at the club is pretty tense. Even if the Blues are currently 4th in the Premier League standings, the loss against Basel really left a mark.

The team seems a bit more detached when it comes to its relationship with Mourinho which is never a good sign especially for a club that is aiming so high. More than that, players seem to have some issues with injuries, which could affect the next few matches. Recently, Ramires and Marco van Ginkel both acquired small muscular problems that turned out to be actual injuries. According to ESPN, Chelsea’s midfielders limped towards the sidelines after facing Swindon Town. Even if the Blues managed a 2-0 win they still had to pay a price.
Van Ginkel who was brought to Stamford Bridge from Vitesse lasted only 10 minutes into the game, being replaced by Ramires. The 20 year old Dutchman sustained what looks like a real injury according to Steve Holland not just a strain.
Ramires who replaced Van Ginkel contributed to Chelsea’s win but also found himself limping after some muscle pain. Both midfielders will be out for at least a week and will surely miss the match against Tottenham on Saturday.
Mourinho was more concerned with what his team will do next rather than with the fact that he just qualified for the next round of the Capital One Cup. With players being out of form it will be tough to find a winning formula especially after the Portuguese boss declared he has no idea what players are going to make the staring eleven.
