Chelsea Starlet Set To Be Sold For £2.25m With Medical Lined Up For Today

Chelsea striker Daishawn Redan is expected in Germany for a medical today to seal a permanent move to Hertha Berlin, according to Bild.

The German tabloid claims the Bundesliga side have agreed to pay €2.5m (£2.25m) for the 18-year-old, although reports in England have said the fee is more than double that.

It could be the case that Chelsea have managed to include a number of add-ons in the deal that will be paid dependent on appearances and goals.

Redan was signed from Ajax in 2017 and was a prominent player as the Under 19s made it to the UEFA Youth League final last campaign.

However, it seems the Dutchman wanted out in order to progress his game at senior level. A number of Championship clubs, as well as teams in Spain, the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium were after the player but he has reportedly agreed a five-year contract with Hertha.
