Chelsea star insists he is happy despite transfer rumours

Chelsea winger Willian has insisted he is happy at Stamford Bridge, despite growing speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

The Brazilian has often been touted for a reunion with former boss Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, and was apparently close to doing so in the summer.

The rumours have started again this winter though, with the 29-year-old failing to get regular game time this season.

However, he was picked to start against Huddersfield during Chelsea’s 3-1 win, and scored his second goal of the season.

“I’m happy here and the fans can be calm,” Willian said.

“I’m always happy here at Chelsea. I really like this club a lot with my heart. Yeah, I’m very happy.

“Of course I’m very happy.

“When I play, I always try to do my best to help the team to score goals to make assists and I did that with my team-mates.”

So it seems Willian is more than satisfied at Stamford Bridge if the game time stays consistent. But whether or not that can be guaranteed is another thing.

One thing is for sure, he surely won’t be sold to Manchester United after the backlash Chelsea received following the Nemanja Matic sale!
