Chelsea Star Has Suffered Yet Another Injury Setback After Withdrawing From National Squad

Chelsea fullback Reece James has withdrawn from the England squad due to an ongoing issue, according to multiple reports in the English media

The 23-year-old has struggled with a number of injury and fitness problems this season, having missed 19 games in total for the Blues.

James initially injured his knee back in early October, and he suffered a recurrence of the issue in the 2-0 win over Bournemouth just after Christmas.

Hamstring problems and illness have also kept him out of subsequent matches this year, and it remains to be seen how long he will be out for following this latest setback.

James did come on as a late substitute in England’s 2-1 win over Italy on Thursday night, and there was no indication that he was suffering from an injury at the time.

It will be a big setback for both the player and Blues boss Graham Potter, who was hoping to have him fit and available for the rest of the campaign.
